Intro to Permaculture Taster Series
It is a joy to eat local food! To be able to wake up and walk barefoot into a garden and pick fresh salad, veg and fruit is a simple pleasure unlike any other. Sharing in the process with others as part of a diverse social ecosystem is a must!
I arrived in Builth Wells in 2024 from a decade spent [exploring the world], building with vernacular materials like clay, straw and lime. The local communities I met from Rwanda to Cambodia taught me about reconciliation and the importance of locality and people.
We are part of a holistic socio enviro ecosystem. We are ourselves part of nature. Everything we do is not in isolation. It has taken some years to transition from a monoculture to polyculture life pattern of homesteader, teacher, and architect, to help me feed myself and share with others, as a medium for creating a flourishing community, and to pay the bills.
This journey was filled with lessons and happy accidents. So many questions… How do I design a low impact healthy home for the planet and people? How do I tend my garden year-round? How can I live harmoniously with a collection of like-minded people?
We have created these workshops to engage the folk of Llandod and build a local heart centred and green fingered community.
Of course, the ultimate dream is for a permaculture co-operative here, in Llandrindod… But if any of this sounds fun, come spend the afternoon here, potentially make some friends, and hopefully leave inspired… with some useful tips for your garden and energy bills.
