About the Course
Cover and deepen into the core principles of Permaculture. Discover how we can take these ethics, principles and tools of Permaculture and manifest them in real-life projects. Experience the early stages of a developing homestead, cottage barn and land – that Ed is shaping it into a regenerative showcase – Tyn y Graig! Combine this learning with inspiration-gathering trips to other projects in the local ecosystem, including Afallwyn, a proposed One Planet Development. Celebrate a rich diversity of environments and people to learn from.
Course Leaders
Michel Till
Founder of Social Landscapes, London and Certified UK Permaculture Association Teacher
Social Landscapes, which Michel plays a key role in, is an organisation based in London and Totnes that explores community-led urban regeneration that strengthens the connection between people and the places they share.
As a certified UK Permaculture Association diploma teacher Michel has taught in the UK, Thailand, Italy, Greece, Spain and Luxembourg. His work has also been informed by participating in permaculture projects worldwide, including Happy Farm in Plum Village, France and the Panya Project, a permaculture education centre in Thailand. He carries the question of how we, as human beings, can find our rightful place within a resilient ecosystem and a living world. This question is supported by his continuous personal mindfulness practice and somatic presence work. Michel is currently developing courses on exploring embodied Ecology and leading a community garden project from his base in Devon.
Edward Dale-Harris
ARB Architect, Permaculture Designer and founder of SAWA (Socially Active Workshop Architecture)
SAWA was founded in 2014, whilst Ed was in Rwanda working with Enock Ruziga supporting a post genocide reconciliation project – ‘a house for a victim’. Since then Ed has taken SAWA to over 10 countries working on projects including schools, orphanages, farms, and retreat centres. Developing a practice that emerges from nature based wisdom – re-birthing critically important indigenous knowledge within the complexity of a modern-world and the climate challenges we face. Returning home in 2020, he has continued to travel to projects domestically before settling in 2024 at his homestead, Tyn Y Graig, Mid Wales.

Accommodation
Buzzards Nest – Phillippa + Clive
Inspired by their (horse-drawn!) veg box scheme in Sussex and a yearning for a deeper connection to the Land, Phillippa + Clive moved to Wales
in 2015. Renovating an old-railway cottage to provide a space to hold that dream. This now includes a permaculture garden which provides them with vegetables throughout the year, a studio which hosts yoga and wellness events, and overnight accomodation for those that need to travel from further afield.
“A immersive residential PDC was, for me and for many, a huge transformational moment – a moment to wake up and see deeply what it is to be a human living in this beautiful complex web of life and as part of this global ecosystem and community. Giving people the opportunity to gain the courage to make bold positive steps to change their lives for the better and make their dreams become a reality!” Paul
