Permaculture Immersion Workshop

A One-Day Regenerative Workshop

This is a day to slow down, look closely, and remember how to work with nature rather than against it.

Permaculture is both a practical design system and a way of seeing the world, one that asks us to observe patterns, value relationships, and create systems that care for land, people, and future generations. This immersive workshop offers a gentle yet grounded introduction, weaving together theory, hands-on practice, and lived experience.
We begin with the roots: the ethics and principles of permaculture. From there, we move into observation of land, materials, systems, and ourselves before stepping into practical, real-world applications you can take home and use.

What the Day Holds

Foundations of Permaculture An accessible introduction to what permaculture is and why it matters now. We’ll explore its ethics and principles, and journey through the Permaculture Flower touching on land stewardship, natural building, food, community, culture, wellbeing, and education to gain a whole-systems view of regenerative living.

Learning to See Through guided spatial observation exercises indoors and outdoors, you’ll practice reading landscapes, noticing flows of energy, water, nutrients, and people. A site walk brings these ideas into the real world, alongside gentle self-observation practices connecting breath, body, and awareness to ecological thinking.

Hands in the Work Practical activities rooted in everyday life, including:
Turning organic waste into compost and living soil
Catching and cycling water and nutrients
Foraging and recognising what the land already offers
Exploring local, natural and reclaimed material such as clay, straw, timber, stone, glass, and how they can be shaped into something useful

Designing With What You Have Bring a real question, challenge, or project your garden, home, land, or way of living. Through a collaborative group design session, we’ll explore permaculture-inspired responses using shared observation, sketching, and collective imagination.

Who This Is For
This workshop is for anyone curious about living more regeneratively; gardeners, growers, artists, self-builders, community makers, and those at the beginning of their permaculture journey.
You’ll leave with practical tools, fresh ways of seeing, and a deeper sense of connection to land, to people, and to the possibilities already present around you.

Come spend a day learning from nature, each other, and the ground beneath your feet.
